Fat Quarters

A fat quarter is a piece of fabric that is cut to be approximately 18 inches by 22 inches (45 cm by 55 cm). The fabric is cut into a larger size than a traditional quarter yard of fabric, which is typically 9 inches by 44 inches (23 cm by 112 cm). Our fat quarters are sold in bundles, with each set containing a selection of coordinating fabrics. Our bundles are often used for quilting and other sewing projects!

For a variety of reasons, fat quarters are an excellent choice for craft projects:

They are practical: They are pre-cut, so you won't have to waste time measuring and cutting fabric to fit. This makes it simple to begin working on your project right away.

Fat quarters are versatile because they are larger than traditional quarter yards, giving you more fabric layout and design options. This is particularly useful for small projects where traditional quarter yards may be insufficient.

They are less expensive: Because they are pre-cut, fat quarters can be less expensive than purchasing fabric by the yard. This makes them an excellent choice for low-cost craft projects.

They are an excellent way to experiment with new fabrics: You can experiment with different fabrics and colours with a fat quarter without committing to a larger amount of fabric.

Overall, fat quarters are an excellent choice for craft projects because they are convenient, versatile, and frequently a less expensive way to try out new fabrics.

Here are some ways to incorporate fat quarters into your sewing and crafting projects:

Quilting: Fat quarters are frequently used in quilting projects because they are a convenient size for making small quilts and for fabric samples.

Sewing: Fat quarters are perfect for small sewing projects like bags, pouches, and accessories. They're also ideal for making fabric samples or experimenting with new patterns or techniques.

Home decor: Small home decor items such as pillow covers, table runners, and placemats can be made from fat quarters.

Gifts: Making fabric coasters, keychains, and other little gifts with fat quarters is a terrific idea.

Scrapbooking: Fat quarters can be utilized in scrapbooking projects to give your layouts a splash of color or design.
